Communications Director, 2013–2015

Organization-wide communications, positioning architecture and design as central to Chicago’s urban policy and public discourse. Served as Editor-in-Chief of Chicago Architect Magazine, overseeing a complete editorial and design overhaul that repositioned the publication as a platform for design and urbanism. Built digital infrastructure, civic partnerships, and media relationships that increased organizational visibility.

  

Congress for the New Urbanism
Communications Director, 2011–2013

Directing national advocacy communications for one of the country's most influential urban planning organizations — repositioning its voice as a policy-shaping leader in housing and infrastructure. Leading national partnerships with HUD, FHA, and Smart Growth America to elevate design and planning standards within federal policy frameworks. Managing media strategy and program coordination for annual Congress events featuring 1,000+ global attendees and policy experts. Producing multimedia content, op-eds, and policy briefs that translated technical urbanist principles for public and legislative audiences.
